What’s That Inside Your Brain?

Parasite
The skittering sound echoes down the metal corridor. Your ears perk up as you swivel around, a frown creasing your face. What was that?
Tic. Tic tic tic.
Maybe it’s water dripping. You are under the ocean, after all. Or –
It springs from the dark: a pulpy, fleshy mass full of teeth and tentacles. Something unfurls from what could be its chin. Is it. . . a stinger?
The thing jabs into your thigh, and your world explodes in pain. You scream as fire rakes across your brain, your legs turning to jelly beneath you. Everything goes black.
…
You come to with a start. The monster is gone. But the wound on your thigh feels like it’s being ripped apart by razor blades. Maybe, if it didn’t hurt so badly, you would notice the strange throbbing in the back of your skull.
Parasite will not only gnaw on your flesh, but will also poison your mind. Once Parasite reaches an investigator, it will inject itself into her body. Then, whenever the investigator takes damage, that damage will be amplified by the parasite.
Parasite is formless. Walls and doors cannot keep them away. How are you going stop something that could be anywhere – including in your own mind?

Isaiah Wiesenthal – the Prophet
Many people sneer at prophecy as the delusions of a troubled mind. Some others fear it as a sign of the end of the world. But they don’t understand prophecy like Isaiah. To him, it can be something else entirely: a weapon.
It has long been an accepted fact among his acquaintances that Isaiah is neurotic, and no one knows his true age under the layer upon layer of heavy makeup that’s caked onto his face. For years he called himself the Prophet. The only problem was, no one else ever believed him. And why would they? He always foretold such terrible things.
He saw unimaginable horrors seething up out of the ocean’s belly. He glimpsed a world overrun by roiling, impossible abominations. He spoke of the coming day when the collective sanity of mankind would snap, like a twig in a child’s grip.
But in the Kadath mining facility, everything he has said seems to be taking on a terrifying ring of truth. And now the question is becoming, is Isaiah’s vision of the future set? Or can it still be changed?

Hallucinations, Hacking and Heavy Armor

Hallucination
The world shimmers around you. You stumble forward, disoriented, as walls slide and the floor squirms. There’s something approaching you. You’re sure of it. But – from where?
It seems to be hovering down the hallway. Or is it? Could it be crawling instead?Or slithering or –
Gasping, you stop dead in your tracks. The thing that’s approaching you is you.
Whenever Hallucination appears, the entire mining facility transforms. This creature is not so much the product of madness: rather, it is more like an extension of madness itself. To fight with Hallucination is to fight with yourself. And you’re going to do irreversible damage if you’re not careful.

Lisbeth Gibson – the Hacker
Have you ever heard that society was built on rules? So has Lisbeth. And it always makes her sneer. She believes that rules exist for the same reason as luck: to be hacked.
Lisbeth got her first computer as a teenager when the neighbor across the hall was sentenced to ten years for assault. No one else was using it, so what was the harm? Her parents spent most of their time drinking and gambling, and as such they barely noticed their daughter’s new acquisition. It wasn’t long before she knew computers inside and out, and had taken her place with the hacker elite. She went by the call-sign “Lucky Eights” for much the same reason Bruce Wayne called himself “Batman”: to turn what she hated most into something that would strike fear in others.
Lisbeth likes to say that “Fate is God throwing dice. And, if you want to change your fate, you have to take the dice into your own hands.” It’s a motto that Lisbeth has lived by, taking what she wants, going where she wills. Her most recent hack might not have been her smartest move, though. She’d gotten a juicy tip that the Leng Corporation was hiding something big, so she hired herself as their new network security specialist. Now she’s strapped in a sub on her way down to the Kadath Mining Station. And she’s beginning to wonder: will she still be able to “cheat God” thousands of feet below the surface?
Heavy Miner Suit
An investigator could settle for body armor. But why do that when he can have a fully encased, battle-ready mechanized chassis?
The Heavy Miner Suit is a juggernaut. And the station staff just left it lying around for the taking when they all vanished. Now it’s yours, and you’re going to use it to turn some monsters into quivering puddles of goo.
When you climb into the suit, something strange happens. You feel invigorated, like you’re receiving power from the suit. Before long it feels like the suit has become a part of you, and vice versa. You start to forget after a while how you ever got along without it.
When an investigator finds the suit’s search card, he doesn’t just get a card: he places the suit’s specialized dashboard over his own, replacing some of his original attributes. What’s more, his original model is removed from the board and exchanged with the Heavy Miner Suit. To some degree, finding the Heavy Miner Suit is like becoming a brand-new person. Or, at the very least, it’s like wearing a half-ton pneumatically powered monster crusher as a onesie.

Dimension Rift
When we want to create a monster that can teleport, the image of a giant monster full of tentacles cross over the black gate just appears. That is how Dimension Rift is created. It is not only a monster, but a unstable shard of broken space and time. When it randomly moves to a tile with an investigator in it, the investigator is trapped in another dimension. His line of sight is limited to this tile only, and other investigators’ line of sight is blocked by that tile as well.
Dimension Rift, 54 mm.
Devourer of Worlds
Madness is the most powerful creator. A monstrous black hole, its sole purpose of existence is to devour. Wherever it goes, space and time is distorted, investigators are pulled into another dimension. When they return, they appear at a random location on the game board. Now, all of your setup and planning is meaningless.
Devourer of Worlds , about 70 mm.
We have to say, the Epic Monsters are strong in every way. They are hard to kill, and will occupy the game board for a long time. Adding Epic Monster to the game sequence will bring the game difficulty to the next level. Leveraging more actions and strategies to fight such monsters is very rewarding.
All barkers that had participated in the "sharing to get a free epic monster" special event. Please rest assured, these epic monsters will be announce in the KS campaign soon, one after another. Now you can just pledge at least a core game, and after the campaign ends, we will send you a pledge manager, we just need you Facebook name there to confirm your free epic monster reward.
