Hi everyone! We hope you’ve had a great couple of weeks!  

The long Spring Festival has finally ended, and everything is back to normal. We’re still plowing full-steam ahead to get all of the details for this massive project finalized, and production is on track and proceeding as we hoped and expected it would.  

I don’t have a ton of specific production details to share with you today, though we will definitely be sharing those in the not-too-distant future. However, I do have something very special for our French backers: the translated core game rules and cards for you to take a look at! We will bring you the other languages soon, but for today if our fluent French friends would take a look at these cards and the rulebook and let us know if you see any problems with them, then we would be very appreciative. After that we’ll get this version finished up and off to the printers. Once the translation pack is finished, we'll pubilish the materials in a format well suited to printing.

Deeper into Darkness

Hi everyone! We're sorry it's been a while since the last time you heard from us. Our manufacturer in China has now officially entered the Chinese New Year holiday season. However, all Diemension Games staff are still hard at work to deliver you the best game we can possibly make.

So what's our current progress? Here are some insights:

• There are still a few miniatures that require a couple final adjustments before we're completely satisfied with them. Those minis are David, Pris, Hydra, William, Forsaken, and the second sculpt for Grudge. However, all other miniatures are in full production.
• Only the rulebooks for the two expansions are left for final layout work (we're still doing some writing work on the art book, too, although it is laid out), but all other printed materials for the game have been submitted for official production.
• The core game translations have basically been completed, and most of the other translated materials have as well. These are currently being laid out and proofread. We'll show them to you in an update in the not-too-distant-future.

So that's a look into our current progress. But now we wanted to go over something else with you as well: packaging. After talking extensively with our manufacturer, we've been convinced to merge Fathoms Dark, Fevered Dreams, Expectant Terrors and the six plastic hatches into one box called Endless Nightmares. This will help greatly with logistics in both packaging and shipping, and so it seemed like the best way for us to proceed.

Also, there's been a slight change between this new box and the Uncounted Horrors Kickstarter-exclusive box. The investigator Amanda Weaver (the quartermaster), who was originally from Fathoms Dark, will instead be placed in Uncounted Horrors, and she will be replaced with Sophie Brigman (the diver) in Endless Nightmares. We just realized a character that could (potentially) be more of a liability with very large, established companies (with names that rhyme with Box) and brands (with names that rhyme with… Salien?) might be better as a KS-exclusive than a character with no such issues - plus the fact that Amanda is actually two miniatures when you count her faithful cat. So we hope you all are okay with this little swap. (Just to reiterate: nothing changes for you. You will still receive both of these miniatures and all of the content promised during the Kickstarter. It just means that future players will get Sophie instead of Amanda.)

And last but not least, here are some more photos of finalized miniatures. These are exactly the same as the ones you will receive with your pledge. We will show you the remaining miniatures (mentioned above) in a future update.

An Update, a Rulebook, and a Gift

Hi everyone! We hope you had a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and a great holiday season. 2017 was sure a whirlwind year for us at Diemension Games. Every member of our little band has been working like crazy to make Deep Madness the best game it can be, and we're so grateful to everyone who has made a contribution to it, whether big or small. But, of course, the person we are most grateful to is you. Without you and every other backer, Deep Madness wouldn't exist at all. So, though I know we've said it before, thank you once again. I wish I could now say that I had great news for you to make your new year even brighter, but that's unfortunately not quite the case.  

You might have noticed you haven't heard too much from us the last few weeks, apart from the occasional sneak peek at some finished minis. That's because we've been working like crazy trying to get everything out in time to beat Chinese New Year. But, after recently talking with the manufacturer again, it doesn't look like we were fast enough. This means that we now won't be able to ship until after the Chinese New Year/Spring Festival. We know we had mentioned previously that we might not make it, but we sure were trying. We're extremely sorry that we failed in meeting this deadline for you. But we're working on something to make it up to you.  

Before we get into that, though, we wanted to answer a question that has no doubt been on your mind: what's the current status on Deep Madness? Well, the core game has actually entered production. All of the rest of the figures and materials are either finished, in the final stages of confirmation, or are very, very close to completion. But therein lies the problem. Because we are still in the final stages on a couple of elements, and because we set this up as a one-wave shipment, those last few items have pushed us back just past the deadline.  

So, what's our current estimate looking like? I'm not going to sugar-coat it: it's looking like the new delivery estimate is June. Why June, five months after the January timeframe? Because of that aforementioned Spring Festival, which doesn't end until March. Then, after the Spring Festival, production has to complete on the remaining parts of the game, the games have to get loaded onto a boat heading for your country, and then our shipping partners in each country have to send the games out to you. Which, unfortunately, takes us to June. We are so sorry for this further delay. We know we've let you, our backers, down. And that brings us back to something I mentioned a couple of paragraphs ago.   

In order to apologize to you properly for the further postponement, we have prepared a gift for every Investigator Pledge. This is going to be a special model, the details of which will be coming in a future update. Including this miniature shouldn't delay things any further, and it's just something we wanted to do to show you how much we value you and your support. We don't take you lightly. We know we've let you down, and we want to do what we can to make it right. So stay tuned for more information on that model.  

Last but not least, we wanted to end this post on a highlight. We promised you'd get the rulebook in this update, so here it is. The rulebook also contains the storybook, so SPOILER ALERT! That means it also contains the plot for the entire game! If you want to save the surprises for the game, don't read the storybook! (At this point I'm supposed to thank our lead writer, Byron Leavitt, for the wonderful story he wrote for us, but, being as I am Byron Leavitt, that seems a little bit self-serving. So, instead, I'll just say I hope you enjoy it. =)  

Once again, I want to say thank you for standing by us with this game. We know this further delay is incredibly disappointing: honestly, it's extremely disappointing to us, as well. But we hope that, when you finally are able to play Deep Madness, you'll say it was worth the wait. Thank you for your patience, thank you for being a part of this game.
