Delivery Info Update and The Special Gift

Hi everyone! We’ve got some news for you today, and also some fun stuff. Let’s start with the news.
Delivery Info
We have confirmed our fulfillment plan and partners! Once the contracts are signed we will share more details about how that will all work, which should be happening very shortly. Now, as some of you noticed from the factory photographs, production has moved a little slower than we were hoping it would. As such, there will be another short delay. In talking with our factories, they’re telling us that all the products will be loaded on boat by mid- to late-June, which puts us about a month behind what we were anticipating. We’re sorry for this additional delay. Trust us, we want this game to be in your hands as much as you do. Thank you for understanding, and for sticking with us. We’re going to get there, and it will be very, very soon.
The Special Gift
But now for something fun. Back around January we announced that, as a thank you for sticking with us and as an apology for the delays, we were going to give every investigator pledge a special gift. Well, we’re finally ready to show you what that gift is.
For quite a while now some members of Diemension Games have been working on a couple of other projects during downtime with Deep Madness. One of these projects was Dawn of Madness (a prequel to Deep Madness), and one was called Celestial. Some of you probably saw characters from these games at last year’s Gen Con, where we had several resin prototypes on display. Both games have absolutely incredible miniatures, but there’s something special about the Celestial models. They’re big for one: some of them are up to 140 mm in size. They’re also just a little different from anything else out there, featuring a strange mix of elegance, science fiction, Chinese mythology, horror, and, in certain cases, an almost wistful sadness. Although the Celestial game probably wouldn’t launch on Kickstarter until 2019, we are now releasing some limited edition resin miniatures from the game in partnership with BigChild Creatives. This will NOT be a Kickstarter, nor will it be taking any resources away from Deep Madness. (Honestly, if we didn’t have these other projects going most of us would basically be sitting around twiddling our thumbs right now, waiting impatiently for Deep Madness’s production to finish.) These miniatures will be available in limited runs to those who enjoy collecting resin miniatures like this, and we’ll slowly add to the line as the models are ready.
Our special gift to you is from the Celestial line. His name is Lei. He’s 54 mm tall (for reference, the epic monster Madness Within is 58mm tall), and he will be coming to you as a highly detailed hard plastic kit. Here he is:
In the package. (The blister's not final.)
Hard plastic model kit and the assembled model.
Close look.
The packaging sheet.
We have some more interesting news regarding Celestial. We are collaborating with Beasts of War to host an epic painting contest! 10 of the top miniature painters in the world are competing for a grand prize of $10,000, but this contest has an additional twist. Each of the contestants are showing us regular updates of their progress as they proceed (using both videos and pictures), teaching us their techniques and revealing their incredible creations as they develop. Voting is also open for the entire month-long timeframe of the contest (and people can change their votes at any time), giving the contest a tension similar to a neck-and-neck race. It’s been a ton of fun so far, and if that sounds like something you’d be interested in you can check out the official Celestial Facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/196280854475381. You can also check out the Celestial Facebook page at www.facebook.com/celestialminiature, and, if you’d like the chance to win another Celestial miniature, be sure to like the Celestial FB page and share this post: www.facebook.com/celestialminiature/posts/436128820160891. We hope you’ll join us for this contest!
Also, one last nugget about Celestial. Some of you already caught this in a video I did recently with Beasts of War, so, since I already blew the secret out the airlock, here you go: All of the games we’re currently working on, including Deep Madness, Dawn of Madness, and, yes, even Celestial, share the same universe setting (although different art styles and stories). "Deep Madness" is not just a game. Let the discussions commence… now.
That’s all for now, but there will be more Deep Madness news and reveals shortly as this project finally winds up. Thank you so much for your continued patience and understanding with us. We hate to announce ANOTHER delay (even a short one), but your game is coming. Have a great week, and we’ll be back with more stuff soon. You’re the best.
It’s All Coming Up Plastic

Hey friends! I hope you’ve had a good couple of weeks. Today we’d like to give you a look at something you haven’t seen much of recently: dice and tokens! (Except for all those pictures of dice in our last update. And tokens.) But seriously, the dice packs and plastic token pack have all finished production, and we got some actual production samples off the line. We’ll show them to you in just a second, but first we wanted to go over something regarding the token pack.
Plastic Token Pack
We realized that the devouring track blocks and markers were just about our most vulnerable components to wear and tear since they are used in absolutely every scenario, combining to make unique variations each game. So, we felt it was necessary to put the whole track in the plastic token pack. The only problem was, we then didn’t have enough room to include all of the punchboard tokens in addition to the devouring track. So, we kept the most frequently-used components (and thus those most susceptible to degradation) in this pack and removed a few of the less regularly used pieces. Here’s the final list of plastic tokens contained in this pack (109 in total):
Devour Marker x1
Activation Marker x1
Devouring Track Block x14
Devouring Track Marker x12
Slowed/Weakened Token x12
Wound Token x33
Sanity/Madness Token x36
We also chose not to do the cheaper, easier option to simply engrave the graphic design. Instead, we decided to go with the more expensive but (we think) much nicer heat transfer printing. This makes the plastic tokens look much more consistent with the punchboard versions.
We hope you like the changes we made to this pack. We’re sorry we weren’t able to get every token in there, but we appreciate your understanding as to why we think these changes were for the best. Now, here’s the images of the finalized pack:

109 tokens in total.
Dice Packs
Additional dice in the base game.
Fusion Dice Pack (variant pack 1).
Enlightened Dice Pack (variant pack 2). Sorry, we don't have enough white ones.
Out of the package.
They are in very good quality.
And Beautiful too.
That’s it for today! There’s more fun stuff coming soon, though, so stay tuned. It won’t be much longer before these games are in your hands!
At the Factory

Hey everyone! Thanks for your patience in waiting for this production update as we worked out the various language translations in the last few updates. And thanks so much to everyone who contributed to those! You helped make our translation materials the best they could be, and we are so grateful!
As we mentioned would happen last time, we currently have some of our team at the factory that's producing Deep Madness. Actually, there are three factories: one for the printed materials, one for the dice, and one for the miniatures. Here are some pictures from the factories:
The miniatures are being assembled.
The injection stage of all the miniatures is close to the end. Now we are in the middle of the assembling stage.
A swarm of captains.
A part of Agony.
Putrid.
Ravenous.
The miniatures from all the expansions.
The packaging plan.
The packaging plan.
The epics.
The ocean of dice.
The production stage of all the dice has been finished. The factory is packing and transporting them to the printer where they will be assembled with other components.
The monster dice.
Exclusive monster dice.
Exclusive monster dice in boxes.
The monster dice final product.
The exclusive dice have finished packing by now.
Core game cover.
Punchboard.
Punchboards everywhere.
The Rulebook.
The printed materials for expansions are waiting for their turns.

It's really coming together, guys!
So what's going on with current progress? Production has been rolling since January (minus the Spring Festival shutdowns, of course.) Due to an especially rainy season the printed products have needed a bit longer to dry, but even with that most everything is now in its final stage. There is still some work going on to finalize the translation packs and the art book, but apart from those things everything else is nearing completion. What's more, those few items should hopefully be pretty easy to print (especially the translation packs), so they will be finished soon as well.
The miniatures will be shipped to the factory that has produced the printed materials, and then everything will be assembled and shipped to backers from there. We've been doing a ton of research into the best fulfillment partners and ways to optimize the packaging and shipping process to hopefully minimize the problems that so often arise with Kickstarter projects. This is something that's really important to us (as we know it is to you), and we've almost gotten everything nailed down there. We should have more information about all of this (including the officially chosen fulfillment partner(s)) in the very near future.
With all of this happening, it means that we are nearing the time where we will need to lock down shipping addresses. So, if you have moved or will be moving in the not-too-distant future, now is the time to start thinking about updating that address! We will let you know before we officially lock it down, of course, but we wanted you to be thinking about it so you can get that updated if you need to. (Don't have the login details any longer? Go to https://www.backerkit.com/are_you_a_backer and search for Deep Madness to find your survey.)
That's it for today, but we'll have a lot more details and info coming for you in the days and weeks ahead! Thanks for sticking with us, and thanks for being awesome!

First, select the part that you think has a problem and click the button.
Second, leave you comment and click "post".
Soon, we will go to the factory and take some photos of progress to share with you.
That's all for today. Thanks again for your help.
Madness in Spanish
– Tue, Mar 27, 2018 at 01:27:04 AM
Recently we sent out an update with the French translation in it, and you all gave us some incredible feedback on ways to improve that translation and really make it the best it could be. Thank you so much for your help, everyone! We so appreciate it!
Today, we would also like to ask for your help with the Spanish version of the core game cards and rulebook. You can directly leave your comments in the link below. Feel free to comment on any part of these materials, and let us know what errors you find. We’ll give it a week for comments, corrections and suggestions, then we’ll send those over to the translator to get everything squared away. So, without further ado, here are the Spanish components for the Deep Madness core game!
Also, in the last update some asked for the English version of the core game cards and rulebook for reference and comparison. So, we thought we’d include those right off the bat in this one to make it easy for you to do just that. Here are those for you to take a look at:
Thanks again for your help with these, friends. We are incredibly appreciative of your participation in this project! More news coming soon! We are getting so close!
