Latest Updates from Our Project:
What Now?

Hey friends! I hope you've been having a great day!
We just wanted to check in with you all, give another small shipping and replacement part update, and let you know a little bit what's been going on with the reprint.
CANADA SHIPPING
While most of the Canadian backers have at last received their pledges, a very small group still has not. Apparently Snakes and Lattés ran out(!) of Endless Nightmares and Uncounted Horrors, and are expecting to have more in stock by November 23rd from QML.
Ugh. Thank you so much for your patience if you're still waiting for your game. (Here's looking at you, Francois, Mindstorm and Smithers.) I don't know how it's even possible for them to have run out, but apparently it will at least be resolved before too long...
Having said that, the overwhelming majority of Canada is finished, and should be enjoying their games right now.
EVERYWHERE ELSE
If you have not yet received your pledge and are not in Canada, then send us an email at [email protected] as soon as possible! Chances are good that something has gone wrong with your order, and we need to know about it right away to get it fixed for you.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
Speaking of "getting it fixed," the first batch of orders for replacement parts have gone out and most people have received them. Batch two is just about to go out as well, so please give those a couple of weeks to get to you. But, as mentioned above, if your pledge was missing something, something was broken, or you have a misprint (or just want to check in on your current order for replacement parts), then send an email to [email protected] and we'll get you squared away. =)
FUTURE UPDATES AND STAYING IN TOUCH
We will likely have the occasional future update to let you know what's going on with us (and we'll definitely have another one to finish up the very last of the shipping), but things might get a little bit quieter around here now that everything's just about been delivered. Having said that, this has been such an absolutely incredible community, and we don’t want to lose touch with any of you! So, where can you find us now?
The Reprint Campaign - The reprint comment section is alive and a blast, and we've been posting some really fun stuff in the reprint updates such as an ongoing Choose Your Own Terror story. If you'd like to stay in touch with us and your fellow DM backers, you can jump in for $1 at the Waves of Madness level and have access to the comments section, the updates, and the pledge manager later (should you want it.) Speaking of which:

WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING IN THE REPRINT
There's only three days left in the reprint campaign, guys, so if you're interested you'll want to check it out soon! You can find it at http://bit.ly/DeepMadness.
The reprint has been going really, really well. For those of you who've already made the jump over, thank you! We are honored to have you back with us. For those who haven't been keeping tabs on the happenings over there, though, here's what's currently in the $50 Deeper Terrors pledge for returning backers:
$50 DEEPER TERRORS PLEDGE
The Faces of the Sphere
Meet the Visages. They're a new type of miniatures that doesn't make the game harder (sometimes they'll even make the game a little easier for investigators), but rather adds an extra
factor of chaos to the game. So far there are 8 Visages in the box (with 1 more about to be unlocked.) There are also new awesome-looking dice in this box, and a scenario will be released to all backers from both campaigns that features these miniatures.
Arthur's visage is about 55mm to the top.
Felicia's visage is about 38mm to the top.
Jared's visage is about 54mm to the top.
Randi's visage is about 60mm to the top.
Roman's visage is about 50mm to the top.
Samuel's visage is about 58mm to the top.

Shattered Seas
If you've enjoyed the story of Deep Madness, then this is something you're not going to want to miss. Shattered Seas will be the full-length novel that takes the Deep Madness universe to the next level. It also includes the new investigator Lucas Kane, as well as a special scenario only present in the hardcover version of the book.
-
Monstrum Profundum
There's one other thing that's new which is split between add-ons and the Deeper Terrors pledge: Monstrum Profundum, the Deep Madness storage solution. Profundum is a stretch goal which will shortly be unlocked for every Deeper Terrors pledge (or as an add-on for those who don't want Deeper Terrors), and it will hold every card, tile, token, drowning dial, and marker in the game, from every one of the current game boxes. Monstrum, meanwhile, contains 6 layers of foam inserts with more than 260 spaces for miniatures - meaning it will hold every miniature in the game. Monstrum is available now as an add-on, while Profundum will be hopefully be unlocked very shortly.

Epic Ravenous Add-on
Originally this was going to be part of a new resin collector series, but we realized that was no fun, so now this is a playable epic monster.
-
Drifter King Add-on
We asked the reprint backers what monster they wanted to see become an Epic after Ravenous, and they voted on Drifter. So, here's the Drifter King:
-
Plastic Token Pack #2
For those who would like the devoured effects to be bigger, clearer, and more durable, then here’s the token pack for you.
-
The Art of Chang Yuan
We're also about to reveal a brand new add-on for everyone who's been a fan of the original Chang Yuan art for Deep Madness: a new artbook dedicated solely to his work (diving deep into his process and concept work, as well as showcasing new art), and a pack of collector monster cards with the original Chang Yuan artwork and OG campaign-era icons!

Nearing the End and Free Stuff for You

– Tue, Nov 06, 2018 at 12:37:58 AM
Hey all! We are nearing the end of the shipping epic! Woohoo! Boy it's been a long ride, and it feels very, very good to say that. But where are we at exactly? Well, let's find out!
US, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the rest of the world were all completed as of October 30th. If you don't have your game yet, you should soon. However, if you have any questions or are wondering about your pledge, feel free to send a message to [email protected] or [email protected].
As for Canadian backers, Canadian shipments started going out last week, and it sounds like they will completely finish this week! How great is that? So you all should have your pledges coming very soon as well! Yaaaay!
Now, as far as replacement part orders, we ask that you bear with us as we get them all made, sorted, and sent. Every week we're sending lists of requested components to the factory. Those replacements are then being put together and mailed directly from there. So, if you sent in a request, it should be going out before too long. A number of replacements have already been mailed. Having said that, it is shipping from China, so please allow a few weeks for the pieces to reach you.

THE REPRINT AND YOU
Now, as many of you may know, we currently have a reprint campaign going on for Deep Madness. As soon as I said that, some of you may have started thinking, "Oh, great, they're just going to try to get us to buy more stuff now." But on the contrary! I just wanted to let you know that the reprint campaign just got YOU something, whether you're otherwise going to participate in the campaign or not! In fact, thus far there have been TWO stretch goals unlocked that you will directly benefit from, with more to come!
First of all, you will be receiving a brand new intro scenario - Drowning in the Depths! For those who happened to see us at Gen Con 2017, this scenario may look a little familiar. That’s because it's the same scenario, only refined, revamped, and significantly improved. You'll be getting this as a PDF.
Every backer from both the first and second campaign will now receive this revised GEN CON Special Scenario via PDF file.
You will also be getting a free eBook of the new Deep Madness novel Shattered Seas when it's ready. Yep. Completely complimentary.
Every backer from both the first and second campaign will now receive the Novel - Deep Madness: Shattered Seas ebook.
We have at least two more stretch goals that you'll receive as well, provided we hit them. If you'd like to get even more free stuff (without spending a dime), would you do us a favor? Go on the Deep Madness Board Game Geek page at https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/202077/deep-madness and post your pictures, comment in the forums, and rate Deep Madness to help us unlock more fun stuff! (Including another scenario!) You could also like our Facebook page for Diemension Games to help us clinch another social goal at https://www.facebook.com/diemensiongames/. Here's where we're standing with our social achievements on the new campaign:
Achievement Chart.
If you're interested in checking out the reprint campaign, too, you can find it at http://bit.ly/DeepMadness. We've unlocked some really fun stuff over there, and there might be a storage solution making its appearance in the next few days! (But shh! You didn't hear that from us!)
Have a great day, friends! We hope you're enjoying your Deep Madness!
Reprint Campaign is Live!
– Mon, Oct 29, 2018 at 11:38:32 PM
Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that the reprint campaign is now LIVE! What's more, we funded in 22 minutes, and have now more than doubled the funding goal! Yowza! Thank you so much to everyone who has already participated in the new campaign! We appreciate you guys so much!
Thank you again for being a part of Deep Madness, whether you participate in the reprint or not. We appreciate you. You are the reason we're able to bring our own little brand of madness to the world, and we wouldn't be here today without you.
Hope we see you in the reprint!
The Reprint Campaign and Last Week's Winner
over 7 years ago
– Sun, Oct 28, 2018 at 02:07:01 AM
Hey, guys! This update's coming out a little later than we were expecting (because of the unexpected update we put out a couple days ago), but we're getting back on track now. This is going to be a shorter one today (as opposed to the mammoth tomes we've been sending you recently.) We're not even going to discuss shipping too much, except to say that shipping is finishing up in the US, over in most of the rest of the world, and, if you're Canadian, read the last update.
But we still have to announce a winner for last week's contest! I'll be honest, I wasn't sure there'd be too much competition at the start of this contest. But, man, this ended up being one of the hardest contests for us to determine of the whole bunch. You guys had some amazing comments. I mean, we were going all over the place from discussing classic literature to In the Mouth of Madness (one of my favorite movies, which I just watched again a few days ago.) I regret that I wasn't able to be as active in the comments this last week as in weeks past. Needless to say, there was some truly great stuff in there, and this one pretty well came down to eenie-minie-moe. And the moe lands on… Rafael Gutsan. Congratulations, Rafael! You just won a copy of the novel Deep Madness: Shattered Seas, as well as the new expansion The Faces of the Sphere in the reprint campaign! (Gah, what can I say? I'm a sucker for In the Mouth of Madness…) But seriously, guys. This one was so close. Thank you for participating, and for making these contests so much fun.
But now, we were originally going to do another week's contest, weren't we? That means we actually did intend to give away one more prize, doesn't it? Well, I talked to the team, and we are going to go ahead and give that one away anyway. However, this isn't going to go to someone for a comment in a contest: this is going to be as a "thank you" for all of the hundreds of comments that have gone out over many months in the comments section, answering questions, calming nerves, and throwing jokes. So, this last pack goes out to the champion of the DM post-campaign comments section, the constant voice of reason and the rock in the storm: Russonc! Congratulations, Russ! You certainly earned this, and we appreciate all you've done for this community. And, to every other regular in the DM comments, thanks to you, too, for sticking around and keeping the fire burning! You are an awesome bunch of people, as are all of the DM backers!

THE REPRINT CAMPAIGN!
So, what about that reprint campaign? Well, for those of you who are interested, here's some info.
The reprint is going to launch this coming Monday at 11am PDT. Should you want to jump in on it, you are welcome to mark your calendars. Oh, by the way, we have a preview page of the campaign up. You can take a look at it at http://bit.ly/DeepMadnessPreview. Let us know what you think in the feedback box, and feel free to direct your friends to the page! Or, if you'd prefer, you can go over to the preview page for the new campaign and click the "Notify me on Launch" button.
-
The reprint campaign is going to run until November 20th, and then the pledge manager will be open after that for as long as we can possibly leave it open. For returning backers there will be a $1 pledge level (Waves of Madness) for those who just want a couple add-ons (most at a discounted rate for returning backers), and then the $50 Deeper Terrors level for those who want The Faces of the Sphere expansion and the novel Shattered Seas. (A $10 savings off the full prices new backers will be paying.)
We've also been talking about Faces of the Sphere for quite a while. Would you like to see some pictures? Okay. Here you go:
3D renders of the Sphere Face figures.
What do you think?
Also, for those who want to see more about the novel, here's the cover:

-
Now, I know you all have some questions as to what's going to be coming out in the reprint. Here's a few of your top requests:
New scenarios
A storage solution
More monsters
More plastic tokens
More flavor text/story stuff
A choose-your-own-adventure story (Yes, we really have received this request multiple times.)
Well, I can neither confirm nor deny these things at this time. (Except for the more monsters one. You already saw the resin Ravenous in the last update. And the Faces of the Sphere characters as well now.) But, if you're looking forward to these things, you might want to check out the reprint campaign.
And we have another surprise, too: regardless of if you join the reprint campaign or not, there might very well be a couple of stretch goals coming your way. Why would we do that? Because we love you guys, that's why. =)
One other thing: we're running a contest on Facebook right now for three copies of the Investigator Pledge. If you know someone who missed the campaign the first time (or if you'd like an extra for yourself), then just go to https://www.facebook.com/deepmadnessgame/photos/a.227990357558376/711678549189552/, share the post, and like it. Voila. You'll be entered. (Also, be sure to let your friends know so they can enter it as well.)
Well, that's it for today, everyone. Have a great weekend, and we hope we see you on Monday for the reprint!
Canadian Shipping Update
– Fri, Oct 26, 2018 at 01:23:17 AM
We'll have another update later with other stuff in it, but right now we wanted to focus on our Canadian backers. We received a note today which pretty well knocked us flat, and we wanted to share it with you.
-
"We just got some information regarding Canadian orders.
We are sorry about that but there is additional delay to expect. Fulfillment is scheduled for the week of 11/5-11/9. The games are still in their warehouse in Buffalo; Snakes will start bringing it into Toronto next week. Because their warehouse is small, they can only bring things in as they make room. They're wrapping up fulfillment on another project now, so next week it's all hands on deck with the receipt, preparation, and staging for Deep Madness so fulfillment can start the following Monday.
Please let me know if you need any further information and again sorry for this delay."
-
When we saw this, we were honestly pretty well speechless. We are so immensely disappointed in and upset by this development, but we know that's nothing compared to what you guys must be feeling. And it certainly puts us in an awkward situation with the reprint campaign.
Honestly, there's not much we can do right now about the reprint. There's been too much that's gone into it at this point to hold it back now. However, we can't leave you just hanging out there to dry. You're too important to us.
So, as we've done before, we're going to try our best to make it up to you. We've been racking our brains tonight on what we can do, and we think we've finally come up with something that hopefully will offer some consolation.
During the reprint campaign, we are going to launch a new line of resin miniatures for Deep Madness. These are going to take established DM monsters and make them cooler, bigger, etc., with new sculpts for collectors. Our first one is going to be the Ravenous. Here's a picture:
Deep Madness Resin Collector Series - Ravenous
This is going to go up for sale at somewhere between $15-20. But we're going to give every returning Canadian backer who joins the reprint campaign at either the $1 Waves of Madness level or the $50 Deeper Terrors level a free one.
We realize this is not a perfect solution. But, honestly, this is far from a perfect situation. In fact, we couldn't have imagined too much of a worse one at this point. So we hope you will see our heart and our appreciation for you in this.
Now, I also realize that some backers outside of Canada might be upset that they're getting a free mini and you're not. And you honestly have the right to be. You have waited a very long time for your game as well. But the honest truth is that we simply can't afford to give everyone a free mini right now, and your pledge should hopefully arrive before or right after the reprint launches - if it hasn't already. Our Canadian friends, meanwhile, won't even see their stuff until the reprint's second week. So we hope you can understand and sympathize with them in this situation.
Guys, this is far from the update we wanted to be writing right now. In fact, it pretty much made us sick to have to write it. But we've prided ourselves on being as transparent and honest as we could be along the way, and we're not going to stop now. Plus, we hope you’ll at least get the idea of how much you matter to us. Whether you decide to join us in the reprint or not (and it is totally reasonable for you not to at this point), just know how much we appreciate you and value you.
